Is there a kit? Yes. It will be posted to you.

Description: This is kit is part of a larger range of or nue animal/ mythological beasts currently living in my brain and is designed to sit alongside the robin and hare which have already been worked. Having said that, each piece works as a solo project also.

I wanted to draw on the stories of folklore and fairytales which were told to me when I was small and the intertwining celtic knot work that I have always found so intriguing and beautiful. The colour palette is as bright and bold as the imaginations in which these beasts dwell and pay homage to those traditions in which I’ve been raised.

The stitches used on this design are appliqué, the or nue technique know as Italian couching, chip work and surface stitched details to the face.

The design involves repetition of skills across the piece utilising a variety of colours.

The design fits into an 8” ring frame.
